About the Position

Primary Care West is a basic unit comprising four health centers in both the city and the countryside, distributed across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. The health centers collaborate closely within the basic unit. Good connections with local and regional traffic make commuting to, from, and between our units possible.

We are looking for an ST Physician for our basic unit, currently placed at Vännäs Health Center.

Vännäs Health Center, beautifully located on the banks of the Ume River about 3 miles from Umeå city, is a newly built and modern facility. About forty employees work at the health center. In Vännäs, we work in various teams, conduct active work environment efforts, and have good cooperation with the municipality's various care operations. Our guiding words are: Pleasant, clear, consistent.

Responsibilities

As an ST Physician with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel secure.

The specialty of general medicine is characterized by the meeting with the patient throughout life. As an ST Physician, you will meet people of all ages with all kinds of health-related problems, as well as independently assess and treat these, along with experiences and complaints not caused by definable disease. In general medical specialist work, an individual's various health problems are followed over time, and in assessing these problems, the person's entire life situation must be weighed in. You are an active participant in the medical group and collaborate with other professional groups.

Your ST employment includes on-call duties.

In addition to the specialty-specific program, you as an ST Physician will also participate in the LEKA training. A program focused on leadership, economics, communication, administration, ethics, and time for personal reflection for ST Physicians within Region Västerbotten.

Requirements and Qualifications

You have a Swedish medical license with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare at the latest upon commencement. You have an interest in specializing in general medicine.

We require good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1.

You should be interested in participating in operational development and be prepared to take personal responsibility in various matters. Personal qualities that are highly valued are good communication skills, good cooperation skills, and flexibility in work.

Consideration is given to personal suitability and cooperation skills.

A B driver's license is required for placement within Primary Care.

Duration: Permanent, start date: Start date by agreement, but no later than 2026-12-31.
